I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! For New Years Eve I was planning on doing nails with loads of glitter and something just generally very sparkly but I really didn't want to remove the galaxy nails I've had on for the past week. So instead I've modified my galaxy nails slightly and that's what I'll be wearing on New Years Eve :)

1 Year Blogiversary - Galaxy Nails!
Hello everyone!
Today is my one year Blogiversary and I was so surprised that I've been blogging for a year already! The time has gone so fast but I have loved it so much! :) For today's post I decided I would go and re-do the galaxy nails I did for the very first post on my blog. These galaxy nails were inspired by this gorgeous necklace I bought from Born Pretty Store.

Graduation Nails!
Hello everyone!
I haven't posted for 2 weeks! I don't know why I just haven't felt like painting my nails so I apologise about there being no new posts for a while. But I'm slowly getting back into doing some nail art :)
So today I wanted to show you the nails I wore to my graduation ceremony - I now officially have a degree in Biological Sciences! :) I saw this design on Pinterest somewhere in black and gold but I decided to go with blue with gold and I'm really happy with how they turned out!

I can water marble!
Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to show you my water marbled nails! Water marbling is one of those techniques that seems to frustrate so many people a) because it takes so long to do and b) because you never know if it's turned out OK until after you've spent half an hour taping up your fingers and dropping polish in a cup.
I've tried water marbling twice before and both times it was very hit and miss. I might get 1 nail that looked OK but the rest were varying degrees of fail! Also I struggled so much with finding suitable polishes that would spread in the water and polishes that wouldn't dry quickly on the water surface. All in all it was a very annoying, long process. I haven't tried water marbling in about a year and a half and have no idea why I was suddenly inspired to give it another go.
In all my previous attempts I used a small teacup and filled it with room temperature tap water as I'd read that cold water made the polish dry faster. However, I still found the polish didn't spread very far so this time I used an eggcup and room temperature tap water. Then I used NEW nail polish - the Nails Inc Picnic Perfect Collection (swatches here and here) in Ebury Square Gardens and Leonard Street for the water marbling Also these polishes had thin formulas so I thought they might be good for water marbling as gloopy polishes don't spread well. I used the polishes in my dupes post as bases except on my thumb where I used Barry M White.

Tropical Nails!
Hello everyone!
I decided to try out the stamping decal/sticker technique as I've seen people able to create really amazing stamping designs! I used this tutorial by Lucy's Stash. I decided to just do an accent nail using this method and I think it turned out really well! The colour combination reminds me of a tropical milkshake!

World Turtle Day!
Hello everyone!
I hope you're all well and if you have exams - good luck! I've got 2 exams left before I've finished University and it's been so stressful but I'm just glad they're almost over!
Anyway, today (23rd May) is World Turtle Day and Nailpolis have an event running to do some turtle themed nail art for this day so that's what I'll be showing you! The purpose of World Turtle Day is to increase our knowledge of turtles and tortoises, many of which are endangered, and to encourage humans to help them survive.
I recently bought 3 of the polishes in the Barry M Aquarium Collection and I couldn't wait to try them out so I've used all 3 in the design I'm showing you today!

Swatches: Nails Inc Picnic Perfect Collection Part 1
Hello everyone!
I don't post swatches very often - in fact I've only done it twice since starting this blog but I ordered these Nails Inc polishes last month and they are just so gorgeous I had to show you! :) They are part of the limited edition Picnic Perfect Collection - I'll swatch half of the polishes in this post and do the other half sometime next week. The collection came with 8 full size Nails Inc polishes and it only cost £20! The colours are so perfect for Spring and Summer!

Hi :D
I have no nails. I bite them everyday and have done so for as long as I can remember. It may seem a bit strange then that I am here, guest posting on a blog dedicated to nails. This is because I'm determined to make a change. I will stop biting my nails, I will buy pretty pastel nail polishes and I will perfect nail art.

It's the final week of the Nail Art Weekly Project started by Danni from Gingerbread Smiles and I can't believe how fast it's gone! I have loved coming up with different designs for each theme! This weeks theme is Glitz and Glam and I wanted to incorporate the negative space technique I've seen recently with glitter polish and here's how they turned out:

Nail Art Weekly Project - Week 4
Hello everyone!
It's Week 4 of the Nail Art Weekly Project and the theme is 'The month you were born in'. My birthday is in February and having just done Valentine's Day nails last week I was stuck on what else I could do. Then I thought of birthstones and star signs - February's birthstone is Amethyst and my star sign is Aquarius. Now I know not all people born in February are Aquarius but half of them are so it still kind of fits with the theme :) This is how my nails turned out!

Nail Art Weekly Project - Week 2
Hello everyone!
So it's now week 2 of The Nail Art Weekly Project which was started by Danni from Gingerbread Smiles. The theme for this week is favourite TV show/film. I struggled this week trying to think of what TV show or film to pick because I literally have so many favourites! But I eventually decided on the TV show Arrow which I love and is one of my favourites at the moment! :)

Hello everyone!
I've been nominated for the Liebster Award by Claire from Seven Star Skies - thank you so much! You should all go check out her blog it's amazing! So from what I gather the Liebster Award is given by bloggers to fellow bloggers with a small following (under 200 followers) but that are showing lots of potential.

Nail Art Weekly Project - Week 1
Hello everyone!
Danni over at Gingerbread Smiles came up with the Nail Art Weekly Project where there will be a theme each week for the next 5 weeks and the bloggers taking part have to come up with a nail design related to the theme. For week 1 the theme is an outfit or item of clothing and I picked this top that I bought from New Look about a year ago. As soon as I saw all the shapes and patterns I knew I wanted to do some nail art based on this :)
