Born Pretty Store Rhinestone Review

Hello everyone,

Today I have a review of some rhinestones* which Born Pretty Store sent me!

The Rhinestones are iridescent black and pearlescent white and they come in circle, heart and oval shapes. They also come in a circular box so they are easy to store :) I decided to go for the darker rhinestones for this design.

I painted my nails with Barry M Espresso and then 1 coat of Barry M Persian over the top. For my little finger I used Barry M foil effects in Gold instead. I used the stamping decal technique for the gold designs on my index and ring fingers using Bundle Monster Plate BM-206 and Barry M foil effects in gold. If you're good with stamping then don't worry about using the stamping decal technique - I'm just really bad at centering a stamped design!

I decided to use the heart and circle rhinestones for this design and stuck them on using some clear polish. Make sure to put a generous amount of topcoat over the design to stop the rhinestones from falling off (I used Seche Vite).

(above pic is without top coat - I forgot to take a close up with top coat!)

I really like these rhinestones! The iridescent colour looks so pretty (and slightly gothic in this design). The only down side is that they lose their iridescent colour when you want to remove them, as the polish remover takes the colour off and you are left with a black rhinestone instead - so they can be reused but the colour won't be the same. However, it comes with a ton of rhinestones (200 pieces) so I can't really see myself running out anytime soon!

It took me a while to get used to having something 3D on my nails but the rhinestones stayed put on my nails until I removed them (a week later!) which I was very impressed with.

You can buy these rhinestones for $3.50
