BPL-023 Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review

Hello everyone!

Today I'm reviewing another stamping plate Born Pretty Store sent me. I think the design I created would have been better suited to Halloween but because they're so bright and shiny I think they could be classed as party nails too!

Also excuse the weird hand pose - it was so awkward trying to hold a mini polish bottle!

Today's nails remind me of those flower clouds that are in SpongeBob Squarepants. I've done this design before using the same stamping plate but I decided to do a rainbow gradient and added a bit of sparkle to this design. I've always wanted to try out butterfly nails, so when I saw the next prompt for the Glam Nails Challenge was 'butterflies', I was so happy! A lot of people have done this butterfly design and I wanted to do it with a duochrome polish as I feel like it made the design come to life!

This month I'm taking part in the Weekly Nail Art Challenge (WNAC) 2015! This challenge was started by @missbellatracey, @simplynailogical and @kgrdnr on Instagram. It's been ages since I last took part in a challenge and I really enjoy them so decided it was time to have another go! I like that this challenge is weekly - I don't think I could manage more than that!

The theme for this month is 'summer' and there are four prompts that we have to use to create a summer design. The first prompt is 'lemon and cherry' and below is the design I created.

You've probably seen palm tree nails before with the classic sunset gradient and black silhouette of the palm trees. I decided to put a twist on this and opted for a blue ombre background to look like the night sky and some white palm trees (who knows why they're white? Bioluminescent palm trees maybe...)
