Paint Splatter / Spongebob Nails

Hello everyone!

Today on the blog I have a review of a stamping plate* which Born Pretty Store kindly sent me. I couldn't decide on what to call this design. It reminds me of paint splats but at the same time looks like the strange flower cloud things from Spongebob Square Pants. All I know is I like it!

As you can see the designs are quite large which is good and because they are all abstract it doesn't matter too much about aligning the image exactly.

I painted my nails white with OPI Alpine Snow and then sponged on Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream, Pink Punch, Mango and Key Lime. Finally I stamped on the design on the bottom left of this stamping plate and used Barry M Matte Top Coat.

I used my creative stamper to stamp this design and I'm happy to say I think I've got the hang of using it! No more hollowed out lines! I also bought some liquid latex after seeing everyone raving about it and it's really helped cut down the amount of time spent on clean up after doing gradients and stamping! It's also extremely satisfying peeling it off and seeing all that messy polish disappear! :)

You can buy this stamping plate for $2.99. Born Pretty Store sell a ton of other nail art supplies as well as jewellery and clothing and are well worth checking out! Their prices are also extremely affordable!

I also have a code you can use to get 10% off your order at Born Pretty Store. Just type ZZYX31 at checkout :)

Do you like stamping? Or do you prefer freehand nail art? Let me know what you think and I'll be back soon with some more nail art!
