Models Own Colour Chrome Collection - Swatches & Review

Today's post will be a swatch post which I don't do very often but Models Own has just released their new Colour Chrome Collection and I knew I had to get my hands on them! I took advantage of the 50% off sale on their website last week.

The packaging is gorgeous! Just look at those shiny bottles! :D I bought 5 polishes (from left to right): Green, Rose, Cerise, Silver, Indigo. I swatched all of them without a base coat or top coat.

Cerise is a bright metallic pink. I used 2 coats although 1 coat provides full coverage. The formula was great and application was really easy due to the wider brush that all the polishes came with! There are streaks but that's to be expected with a foil polish and to be honest I don't really mind them. The drying time was also really quick!

Rose is a beautiful rose gold colour and flatters all skin tones. I've used 2 coats although like Cerise 1 coat is all you really need to be opaque. Again, great formula and easy application.

Indigo is a dark grey/blue and one of my favourites of the 5 I bought. I used 2 coats.

Next is Silver. This is the only one that needed 2 coats to be opaque.

And lastly, Green is a lovely light shade perfect for Spring. I used 2 coats.

I also tried out some stamping with them and they work great. See below for proof!

I used Barry M black as a base and then stamped using Bundle Monster Plate BM-224 many times with all the Colour Chromes. I think Rose shows up the best over the black.

These are my first Models Own polishes and I have to say I'm extremely impressed with them. All of the polishes had a beautifully smooth formula and were very easy to apply due to the wider brush which meant I felt like I had a lot more control over where the polish was going on my nail. They all did leave brush marks, but to minimise this I would say to try painting your nails with as few brush strokes as possible. The colours are all stunning but my favourites have to be Rose and Indigo. I'm also so pleased with how well they stamp.  You may be seeing some more stamping  with these in the near future!
