Born Pretty Store Lace Stamping Plate Review

Hello everyone!

It's my first nail art design of 2015 and to start it off I've done a sparkly lace design. I have never attempted freehand lace nail art before as it looks so complex so I was really happy when Born Pretty Store sent me this lace stamping plate* to try out!

I stamped the design on the top left of the plate.

I painted 2 coats of Barry M Black. Then I stamped the lace design on half my nail with Barry M White and painted China Glaze Fairy Dust on the other half. I made the gold stripe and dots using Barry M Foil Effects in Gold and a nail striper and dotting tool. Then I finished it off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I didn't think all of the tiny details on the plate would transfer to the nail so I was surprised at how well they showed up. The only issue was some of the designs (the one on the top left and right) are too narrow to cover the whole nail. Other than that I was very happy with this plate as I don't think I could create such pretty lace designs freehand!

You can buy this stamping plate for $2.99

Also don't forget you can use my code to get 10% off your order - just type "ZZYX31" at checkout :)

Let me know what you think and I'll be back soon with some more nail art!

  1. So pretty! I've always wondered about stamping plates!
Are they as easy to use as they look or is it more of a practice makes perfect?

    1. Thank you! :) They are pretty easy to use. It takes a couple of tries to get it right in the beginning but I just watched a bunch of YouTube videos on it so I could see how people were doing it! :D
