Green basket weave stamping

Hello everyone!

I've got another review of a Born Pretty Store stamping plate* today. This one has a bunch of designs packed in. I wasn't sure what to call this design and settled on basket weave which it sort of looks like.

I painted my nails with Barry M Key Lime and then stamped the design on the right of this stamping plate using Konad black stamping polish. Then I just used Seche Vite top coat.

I love how easy it was to create this design. I was able to get the whole image on my nail but only if I stamped the design diagonally on my nail (if that makes sense?!). On my nails it looks like the design is hollowed out in places but I think that's due to the creative stamper I've been using which wasn't able to pick up the whole design (I'm still playing around with it and will hopefully get better stamping results soon). I tried out my Konad stamper and the design was more solid. I kind of like this hollowed out version more though!

Overall I was really happy with this design...until I applied top coat and it smudged! Don't you just hate it when that happens! It's more an error on my part than the stamping plate as I kept going over the nail with top coat. It still looked good from a distance though so I didn't mind too much!

You can buy this stamping plate for $2.99

I also have a code you can use to get 10% off your order at Born Pretty Store. Just type ZZYX31 at checkout :)

Do you like stamping? Or do you prefer freehand nail art? Let me know what you think and I'll be back soon with some more nail art!
