Last design of the year so it's no surprise that it's some new year nails. I love this design because it's so quick to do but looks chic and is perfect for this time of year. Unfortunately I'm working new year's eve and we can't wear nail polish so I can't actually wear these but hopefully some of you can using the tutorial below! :)

After seeing the gorgeous dry marble designs sveta_sanders has done on Instagram I decided to have a go myself and I have completely fallen in love with this technique! Even though it's the end of summer, I still have a few summery nail designs left to post so that's what I'll be doing over this next week. The first design I have to show you was inspired by Lucy's Stash. I've seen Lucy do amazing dotticure designs and I opted for something simpler but still really pretty!

So this weeks WNAC design is more than a week late but here it is. The prompt was Magenta and Navy. It didn't turn out as summery as I would have liked mainly because my navy blue polish is so dark it looks almost black in the photos!

WNAC2015: Lemon and Cherry

This month I'm taking part in the Weekly Nail Art Challenge (WNAC) 2015! This challenge was started by @missbellatracey, @simplynailogical and @kgrdnr on Instagram. It's been ages since I last took part in a challenge and I really enjoy them so decided it was time to have another go! I like that this challenge is weekly - I don't think I could manage more than that!
The theme for this month is 'summer' and there are four prompts that we have to use to create a summer design. The first prompt is 'lemon and cherry' and below is the design I created.

Night Time Palm Tree Nails
Hello everyone!
You've probably seen palm tree nails before with the classic sunset gradient and black silhouette of the palm trees. I decided to put a twist on this and opted for a blue ombre background to look like the night sky and some white palm trees (who knows why they're white? Bioluminescent palm trees maybe...)
